Building The Team Behind The Mission: IMSA Onboards Its First Batch Of Trainers

The first batch of IMSA trainers

A carefully selected team of committed trainers joins IMSA to take Memory Science and Memory Sport to the grassroots

Building a movement is not about one person.

It is about bringing together people who share the same vision, believe in the mission and are willing to commit themselves to the journey.

At the Indian Memory Sports Academy, our vision is to take Memory Science and Memory Sport to the grassroots level — reaching schools, students, families, professionals and communities across India.

To achieve that vision, we knew that we needed more than a training programme.

We needed a team.

And building that team began with a rigorous selection and training process.

More Than 200 People. Only A Few Made It Through.

The response to the opportunity to become part of the IMSA trainer team was significant.

More than 200 people were screened during the initial stages of the selection process.

But IMSA was never looking simply for people who wanted to learn memory techniques or obtain a certificate.

The objective was to identify people who could become part of a long-term mission.

The selection therefore involved intense filtration before candidates even reached the training stage.

From the large pool of applicants, only a smaller group progressed to training.

And even among those who entered the training programme, only those who successfully completed the required training were able to become part of the IMSA team.

The result is a carefully selected group of trainers.

Why Such A Careful Selection Process?

Teaching Memory Science requires more than knowing a set of memory techniques.

An IMSA trainer needs to be able to learn the techniques thoroughly, understand them, communicate them effectively and work with learners of different ages and backgrounds.

More importantly, trainers joining IMSA are becoming part of a larger mission.

Our objective is to build a network of people who are committed, responsible, like-minded and willing to contribute to the growth of Memory Science and Memory Sport.

That is why we chose quality and commitment over numbers.

We would rather build a smaller team of people who genuinely believe in the mission than create a large network without the same level of commitment.

Introducing The IMSA Trainer Team

After completing the selection and training process, the following trainers have joined the IMSA team:

  • Pudari Madhu
  • V. Madhavi Latha
  • Smitha Ravindran Nair
  • Madhukar Pilli
  • E. Laxmi Bhavani
  • Bhimavarapu Vani
  • C.R. Shamala
  • T.V. Sai Keerthi
  • Soma Subbaraju
  • Thulasi Boni
  • Suhitha Kumari Pilli
  • Singu Narendhar

This team now forms an important part of the growing IMSA community.

The Beginning Of A Larger Network

This is only the beginning.

As IMSA expands its programmes, these trainers will play an important role in taking Memory Training closer to learners and communities.

The larger vision is to build a strong training ecosystem through which Memory Science can reach schools, colleges, institutions and communities at the grassroots level.

Instead of concentrating memory training in a few locations, we want to create a network of trained people who can help make these skills accessible to many more learners.

More Than Trainers

We see our trainers as more than instructors conducting classes.

They are representatives of the IMSA mission.

Every interaction with a student is an opportunity to introduce someone to a different way of learning, remembering and approaching information.

Every workshop can potentially create curiosity about the capabilities of the human mind.

And every learner who develops an interest in Memory Sport could eventually become a memory athlete.

That is why the people who join this team matter.

A Team Built On Commitment

The journey from the initial screening to joining the IMSA team was deliberately designed to test commitment.

More than 200 people entered the initial screening process.

Only a smaller group reached the training stage.

And only a handful successfully completed the journey and became part of the IMSA team.

That process reflects something fundamental about how we intend to build IMSA:

Not by numbers, but by commitment.

We want people who believe in the mission, are willing to learn continuously and are prepared to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Taking Memory Science To The Grassroots

The ultimate objective is much larger than creating a trainer network.

It is about creating a culture in which Memory Science becomes accessible to ordinary learners.

A student preparing for examinations.

A teacher looking for better ways to help students learn.

A professional trying to remember information more effectively.

A senior citizen looking to remain mentally active.

Or a young person discovering the competitive world of Memory Sport.

Memory Training can have relevance across different stages of life.

Our trainers will be an important bridge between this vision and the people we hope to reach.

The Journey Starts Here

The onboarding of this first group of trainers marks an important milestone for the Academy.

They are joining at a time when IMSA is working towards expanding its reach and building a stronger foundation for Memory Science and Memory Sport in India.

We welcome each of them to the team and look forward to seeing them contribute to the mission.

One vision. One mission. A growing team.

Taking Memory Science and Memory Sport from the training room to the grassroots.

Welcome to the IMSA team.
