There are moments in an athlete's journey when years of learning, training and competition come together in a single achievement.

For Dhruv Meher Thogarchedu, that moment came in Mumbai in November 2025.

Competing at the 2025 IAM World Memory Championship, Dhruv emerged as the Junior World Champion, reaching the highest step of the podium in a remarkable milestone in his young Memory Sport career.

For the Indian Memory Sports Academy, this achievement is particularly special. Dhruv began his Memory Sport journey as an IMSA student, and we have had the opportunity to witness his development along the way.

The World Championship In Mumbai

The 2025 IAM World Memory Championship was held in Mumbai from 7–9 November 2025, bringing together memory athletes for an international competition.

The championship featured competition across multiple memory disciplines, testing participants on their ability to memorise and recall different forms of information under demanding conditions.

For Dhruv, this was an opportunity to compete on an international platform in India.

And this time, he did not simply participate.

He became a Junior World Champion.

That achievement marks a significant step in his development as a memory athlete.

A Milestone In A Growing Journey

Dhruv's World Championship title did not come in isolation.

By the time he arrived in Mumbai, he had already competed at the 15th Indian National Open Memory Championship 2024 in Hyderabad, at the World Memory Championship in Türkiye and at the 2025 USA Memory Championship, where he finished as 2nd Runner-Up. Each competition provided a new experience.

Each challenge provided another opportunity to learn.

And in Mumbai, that progression culminated in a World Championship title in his category.

From Student To World Champion

For IMSA, there is something particularly meaningful about seeing a student progress through different stages of competition.

Dhruv started as a learner.

He trained.

He competed.

He gained international exposure.

He experienced the pressure of competitive memory.

And he continued to move forward.

The Junior World Championship title represents the result of that continued effort.

It is also an example of what can happen when young learners are given the opportunity to develop a skill and then take that skill into a competitive environment.

The Role Of Family Support

Behind every young athlete's journey is a support system. For Dhruv, his father Srikanth Thogarchedu has been one of the strongest pillars, standing behind him at every competition and supporting the broader vision of IMSA.

A Proud Moment For IMSA

For the Indian Memory Sports Academy, Dhruv's achievement is a proud moment.

Our vision is not simply to teach memory techniques. It is to create opportunities for learners to develop their abilities, experience competition and, for those who choose that path, progress towards the highest levels of Memory Sport.

Dhruv's achievement provides an encouraging example of that pathway.

Learn. Train. Practise. Compete. Improve.

And sometimes, that journey leads to a World Championship title.

More Than A Medal

A World Championship title is ultimately represented by a trophy, a medal or a position on a results sheet.

But behind that result are countless hours of preparation.

There are techniques to learn.

Information to memorise.

Mistakes to analyse.

Weaknesses to work on.

Competitions to experience.

And the discipline to keep going.

That is what makes Dhruv's achievement meaningful to us.

The title represents not just one successful competition, but the continued development of a young memory athlete.

A New Milestone

Dhruv's journey has already taken him through national and international competitions.

Now it includes one of the most significant achievements a young memory athlete can earn:

Junior World Champion

For Dhruv, this is another milestone.

For his family, it is a moment to celebrate the result of years of encouragement and support.

For IMSA, it is a proud reminder of the potential that can emerge when young learners receive the right training, opportunities and encouragement.

And perhaps most importantly, it is another reminder that Memory Sport can provide young people with a platform to challenge themselves far beyond the classroom.

Congratulations, Dhruv

The entire team at the Indian Memory Sports Academy extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dhruv Meher Thogarchedu on becoming the Junior World Champion at the 2025 IAM World Memory Championship.

We are proud to have been part of your journey and delighted to see where your dedication has taken you.

And to Srikanth Thogarchedu — thank you for believing in Dhruv, supporting his journey across competitions and countries, and continuing to support the larger vision of Memory Science and Memory Sport.

From IMSA student to USA podium finisher.

From competitor to Junior World Champion.

This is another milestone in Dhruv Meher Thogarchedu's journey — and we hope there are many more to come.
